Hexxus is named after the villain in the movie Fern Gully which was about destruction of the rain forest. Part of this trail was eliminated due to the clear cutting of trees for a slope stabilization project. The trail starts off with a view of the golf course then comes within view of a clear cut. Watch out for the tight switchback section called crash and berm which is slippery during the wet season. It winds it's way up and down and all around until eventually meeting up with the Titleist trail. Watch out for golf balls
