This is an absolutely fantastic bit of legitimate old-school singeltrack. No machine built superhighways of sustainable stupidity here. The Condor descent is often somewhat overgrown w/chaparral, but very challenging technical DH leading to epic "barely there" grassy singletrack through riparian oak valley forest. Trail like this doesn't officially exist on the Central Coast. Use Strava segment explorer or heatmaps to find the rest. There's some FANTASTIC riding in this area and you'll almost never see anyone. This area is vastly underutilized. Check out RimRock/Belmont/Trout Creek/Florence Hart/Big & Little Falls/Rinconada and GO RIDE!
It can be brutally hot in the summer and give it a few days to dry out after it rains. Late winter into early summer is the best time to ride out here.

This trail has so much potential! With some minor clearing and brushing it could be one of best trails in SLO in my opinion. Top section is loose...

Is there any riders group up there or guide system set up for this trail network? The posted trails look great, but when I look at rider logs, you can see they is so much more out there! Would love to come explore sometime.

Hi mountain trail is a great ride. Awesome views on the way down. It was very overgrown last spring 2017, I had to turn back. I just rode it March 23,2017 it looked like some work had been done to it at the top near condor lookout. It is stupid steep in one spot past Condor lookout . Also If you take the South fork, expect lots of poison oak.

This Trail starts out okay then gets Brushy with parts that are steep with bad traction then gets better but the final switch bags before the lookout tower are pretty bad in my opinion. They're loose sand and very hard to get traction on and go uphill pretty steep. I wouldn't want to go down either, be on my level. Plus it was a hot autumn day with an e-bike that I was pushing up the hill.
