A newly opened trail as of July 2019, Hidden Hoot is just under 6 miles in length and traverses in and out of a small picturesque valley with beautiful views of the Big Horn Mountains. Hidden Hoot is a flowy, cross-country, single-track styled trail with numerous footbridges and boardwalks.
At a pond towards the back of the valley, visitors will intersect a junction to a loop. At the junction, riders may want to take the "Easier Way Up" to enjoy a returning downhill segment that utilizes the topography of a gully with banked berms and rollers. For ease on the knees, Runners and those who are out for a workout may want to take the "Hard Way Up", returning down the lower-graded left side.
Access Info
To access this trail, turn off 5th Street into Blacktooth Park and follow the Hidden Hoot signs to the southern end. Park your vehicle in the mowed area provided at the entrance to the Sheridan City pathways. The City Pathway winds thru the Hidden Bridge Golf Course. Following the signs to Hidden Hoot you will come to the entrance in ~.7 miles from where you parked. From there the trail turns single-track and drops into the valley.
