A short and sweet downhill trail. Really fun trail which can get loose when ridden quickly. Not overly steep just narrow. The surface is sandy soil which maintains good grip in the wet. Its often covered with pine needles gum leaves which are slippery in the dry. There is one small ladder bridge across a little gully which requires confidence to ride. Experienced riders will like the natural flow of this trail. Novices can find it quite challenging and tend to come a cropper in some parts.

This is labelled at the park as Grade 5 but its really not, its a Grade 4—consistent with Rotorua Grade 4s.
There are some alternate lines which are Grade 5.

This is another goodie at Oropi. Really a grade 4 rather than 5 (although the alternate lines are solid). Its one of the trails which holds up really well and maintains grip even after rain. Good and fast.

A couple of exposed corners can get quite slippery in the dry, with powdery dust and leaf matter. There's some good alternate lines down Hidden now including a fun chute up and over to the right.

If you think this is too tight go and ride Switchies. This is ample wide enough.

Ps don't be a chicken and take the straight low line—ride the corners and up and overs. Get your monies worth and know no one actually believes Strava times anyway.
