The High Lake Multi-Use Trail is intended for cross-country skiing (classic and skate), fat-biking, snowshoeing, and dog-skijoring. Please practice trail etiquette by staying out of the classic ski tracks and riding on the flat corduroy groomed section when fat-biking, snowshoeing, and dog-skijoring. Grooming notes can be found by visiting www.falconridgeski.com/conditions/.
The High Lake Multi-Use trail is a 6.5km trail that winds through the beautiful shield country. It has both inland and lake sections for you to explore! The trail is wide to accommodate the above mentioned user types and has some pretty bigs hills so make sure you are confident in snow-plowing when on cross-country skis. On weekends, stop in at the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes chalet for a hot lunch and draft beer! They have live music every Sunday at around 1pm in the afternoon! www.falconridgeski.com
Trail users can park in the public parking lot of the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes. This parking lot is found at the end of the South Shore Road (which eventually turns into Ridge Road) at the South/East end of Falcon Lake, just past the lobby for Falcon Trails Resort.
