High on the Hog is a technical long time local favorite. It is routed mainly on slickrock and the entrance is difficult to find since it is not presently signed. After reaching the steep technical off camber section the trail turns to dirt before reaching a large slickrock area where the beginning of Hog Heaven starts to your left and climbs to a rock shelf about 50' above the start at Hog Heaven.

This trail is really fun. Mostly downhill with one double black rock roll.

Cool rock features and great views but this whole area is very pedaly, even for Sedona. There are much more fun descents in the area.

One very difficult move in the downhill direction that's clearly double black, otherwise easier than hog heaven. Beautiful views and definitely worth riding.

This is a fun trail. Tons of slick rock, views, and only a couple of sketch moments. The real gnarly stuff is on Hog Heaven.

The Hog Trails are a must-ride for any intermediate-expert rider in Sedona. Some say they're as difficult as Hiline, but I disagree. There's nothing as steep or loose. The technical parts are mostly tricky narrow sections of the trail with exposure to the side. If you want to make it more challenging there are plenty of alt-lines to the side to play around on. I wrote up a blog post about the 8 best trails in Sedona (in my opinion) and the Hog Trails are one of them twowheeledwanderer.com/posts/my-eight-favorite-mountain-bike-trails-in-sedona-arizona

Sedona has a handful of must ride trails and this is one of them. First on the list for every visit.

Great trail. Comparable in difficulty to hi line with some challenging off camber moves.
