This section of trail still needs a few re-routes as part of the Highline Restoration Project. Expect some hike-a-bike and steep descents.

I have hiked this and rode it. The condition of the trail surface currently is the best I have seen it. The trail itself is very ridable headed south to north until you start getting into some tight uphill switchbacks between the large rocks. Thats about mile 1.5 in. The big descent off the top has firmed up trail conditions. You do not want to try this when its been raining. You will ruin the trail and yourself. Its completely hike a bike up this section if headed the other way (North to South) and I would not recommend riding it in this direction. Overall, a good connector and way better than it used to be but still "old" trail design not suited for modern day MTBing...
