This leg offers many long-travel-bike b-lines, rough bedrock traverses, berms, and features. The terrain is relatively rough, so it's not easy to "flow" or easily maintain a descent speed - you have to work for it a little more This section is super fun.

It's definitely rideable for intermediates, but is probably a little too challenging for most true novices. Advanced riders will eat it up and there are plenty of optional features to make things even more difficult.

Significant drops are 'gated' - watch for stones marking both sides of the line. Most drops are 1'-2', but at least one drop, near the eastern end, is 3'+. If you're not that keen, there are always obvious/easy alternate routes around these features.
