The Hoyt Mountain Trail is an abandoned segment of 2N77 traversing the north side of Hoyt Mountain from a high saddle to a crossing of Clear Creek at a junction of several trails. The old roadbed continues and connects to Clear Creek Camp, which is signed 'No Trespassing'.

The trails at the creek junction all climb steeply to the head of the canyon near the junction of CA-2 and Angeles Forest Hwy.

The upper portion of this trail frightening exposure over high cliffs.
