 Great technical trail. Just a note that you can ride a 'Spruce Knob Lite' by taking Huckleberry down from the Spruce Knob high point, and cutting back to Spruce Mountain Road via an old forest service road. When taking the trail north, there is a 'finger' of trail that abruptly turns east, then doubles back to the west (you can see it on the map, towards the north end of Huckleberry). When you take the turn east, look for the old trail at the double back point (there is a false double back just before you come to the real one - don't be fooled). At the real double back point take the old trail east and downhill. It will be pretty faint and overgrown at spots, and there is a culvert washed out that you have to carry across. But after about 1.5 miles of downhill you'll come to Spruce Mountain Road. Now all that's left is the pedal back uphill to the starting point at Spruce Knob.
