Access is extremely easy from holman rd trailhead. just head straight west past the port a potty if you are climbing this trail. recommended riding pattern is clockwise riding iller east up then iller west down. first few miles up trail is quite wide, and flat but gets steep quick. damp and lots of leaves make this trail absolutely awesome in the summer when everything else is dry but slippery in fall and winter. access from the top of rocks of sharon head north down hill towards tower mountain then just as you begin to head up hill take the right (west fork). about 1/3 way down this trail connects with the mid valley connector which is super fun and connects west and east iller trails without having to summit rocks of sharon which is quite a steep climb but you'll be rewarded with awesome views. heavy hiker use on iller west trail with many off leash dogs so watch out or use trail bell.

Overall, rideable. DO NOT recommend climbing this route. Significant sections of mud just after the creek as the grade steepens. Coming down use...

Nice little trail. I climbed it, which was fine, but I think it would be more fun as a descent. Watch for hikers and be nice to other trail users (duh).

I went up up this instead of down. Did not regret it one bit. Iller east has some nice features to ride down. Definitely more of a climb than east.

Really fun trail. This is definitely the side you want to go down otherwise it would be a tough climb. Good quick ride
