Iratxo es un genio travieso de la mitología vasca, que aparece repentinamente por la noche dando unos tremendos sustos, aunque no es un genio malvado. Si alguien, movido por la curiosidad, le persigue, este se complace en conducirle por barrancos, precipicios y otros lugares peligrosos.

El sendero comienza a escasos metros de la cima del monte Seanbe, en un majestuoso hayedo, por el que nos divertiremos durante el primer tercio de la bajada a través de enlazar divertidas curvas peraltadas.

Saldremos del bosque y se hará la luz, atravesando un helechal que nos llevará al segundo tramo del sendero. Nuevamente, afrontamos un bosque precioso de hayas y un recorrido lleno de curvas y zonas reviradas hasta llegar a una curva técnica hacia la derecha, la cual marca el tercio final del sendero.

Cambio de bosque y con ello, cambio de terreno. Entramos en bosque salvaje, con castaños centenarios y tierra más arcillosa, que resbala más que el anterior en condiciones húmedas, pero que se deja correr más cuando el terreno tiene buenas condiciones. Terminamos el festín con una zona ratonera, estrecha, para terminar el sendero con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja, como el Iratxo más travieso del bosque.
