Jack and the Beanstalk is a meandering, well-graded uphill trail that offers great views back down Kahuterawa valley. It winds its way via switchbacks and stream crossings till the crossing of Farside Rd. Once across Farside Rd the trail has continues back into new growth forest as it continues alongside Arapuke Rd up to the top of the park.

Once at the top treat yourself to a stop to get your breath and enjoy the view back to Palmerston North.

Access Info

This trail is accessed via Checkpoint Charlie, which starts from the culvert at the top of Pupu Rahi. These trails flow together to make up the grade 3 climb to the top of the park.

      Great up! I remember riding here back in 2002 with all the trees still up we used to push heavy as f’*k down hill bikes up and then get a punishing mid and root ride back down before our bike back to Palmy! So good to be back and be able to enjoy the up!!
