Though Joe's is shorter than riding a Rastaman or Burning Spear loop, it packs a punch. Featuring very steep, technical rock features throughout the length of the trail, Joe's will test your skills. There are ride-arounds for all features, and some features should probably be scouted first if you haven't ridden them before. Joe's links up nicely with a decent of Campfire.

I would make sure it’s dry before doing this trail. Any greasiness makes it not much fun.

Waterbury Area Trail Alliance (WATA) totally agrees! We keep this one closed when it's wet in part for that and in part because the exits tend to get really thrashed when people come off the rocks with speed and hit the brakes.

WTH! It’s called “mountain” biking. Mountain biking is a dangerous sport that requires skill in extremely variable conditions. Joe’s trail is mostly rocks and roots. Why close it because of a little rain? Why we have “super-tacky” MTB tires.

Are you planning on getting in their and fixing the ruts that tires create on wet dirt?
