A bone jarring 12 mile rock garden with very little elevation change and plenty of shade. This all single track trail is alot of fun for anyone...

Got the opportunity to visit this state park in March. The Juniper Ridge trail is quite possibly the rockiest trail I have ever seen. It will really test your technical skills as you pick your way through 12 miles of rock garden and some beautiful Texas hill country cedar. There are spots where the trees are very narrow, so watch your bars and fingers. Juniper ridge is all single track and mostly shaded. Other than a few little grunts this trail has very little elevation changes which is good considering the amount of bone jarring terrain you will be riding. I parked at the Wolf Mountain parking and used that trail to get to Juniper Ridge. Pick up a map at the park entrance where you will pay $6 per person to get in.
