A historic and challenging climbing trail

The Ken Wood trail is bidirectional climbing trail that climbs a ridge and descends on the other side. This is more commonly ridden from Henry - west to Stimulus. It is a long, bearish climb with two uphill rock garden sections. At the top of the climb, there is an intersection of two other trails: Bandit and Samurai. Staying on Ken Wood going West, the trail curves left onto ledge, and starts its rocky somewhat technical descent. Bandit and Samurai are on the right.

Going west to Stimulus, the trail ends at a quad trail. Go right. Stimulus is immediately on the left after a huge fallen pine.

There have been rumors of a trail redesign, however, builders hesitate given the historic nature of the trail being the first MTB trail in this tract built - in the late 80's by a MTB community pillar from those days. This trail continues to serve as the bar riders measure their climbing against year after year.

Note that the trail entrances are discreet on both ends to avoid motorcycles from discovering. Please do not mark or make more obvious.

Legit uphill. The legs will burn. Some tech spots and tight spots so keep your eyes up ahead!!!
