Kona Peak Details
DUE TO THE BUILDING OF A FENCE THE END/ACCESS TO KONA PEAK IS CUT OFF
Kona Peak is a short but sweet descent. The trail features outstanding views and some quite steep and technical riding.
Access is only up and down the trail and as such all users should be aware of both climbing and descending users. On the climb, be prepare for some hike-a-bike unless you are a very strong technical climber. Always control your speed and be polite to everyone you meet, on wheels or feet.
It's critical that users respect the alpine environment while using this trail and always remain on trail.
Another reason for staying on the trail is that you don't want to wander into the open pit mines in the area.
Forks off from the Rektor trail.
