Origin of the name: This trail was aptly named L'Erabliere (Maple Forest) because it is entirely located in a pure maple forest. Amazing name, right? I guess we were just getting tired of trying to find new, orginal names, and there was no special story related to that trail.

Built at the end of summer 2016 and early summer 2017, L'Erabliere is so far the longest trail of the park and offers various experiences. It starts on the Chauffe-moteur (1) trail, not far from the main trailhead. It climbs very gently at first, then more steadily with several switchbacks after it crosses a service gravel road. Since, as they say, everything going up must at some point go down, at about two thirds of the way, L'erabliere starts its descent, quite abruptly, with berm turns that help to keep a decent speed while going down.

he trail ends on the trail La Medievale (7 (be careful, the end is a T at the bottom of a steep hill...use your brakes!). You can thereafter continue on the Medievale to get to the trail La Rebelle (9). Also, just before the descent starts on L'Erabliere, it crosses the beginning of another fun trail: Les Grandes Manoeuvres (Cool .
