Origin of the name: This trail is called La Medievale (The Medieval) because there is a Medieval Village (with several small wooden buildings) about halfway down the trail where Live Action Role Playing Games used to take place a few years ago.

Built in late Summer 2016 and early Summer 2017, La Medievale is a wide, gravelled two-way trail. Therefore, it is a relatively easy trail apart from the first long uphill section. One must be careful in this specific section, as riders tend to gain considerable speed going downhill.

When starting at the Beaudoin Camping area (west shore of the river), the trail initially climbs for a while, crossing the end of L'erabliere (6) and La rebelle (9) along the way. Afterwards, the trail is pretty flat until it gets to a short downhill section followed by a bridge leading right at the heart of the Medieval Village.

After the Medieval Village, there is a short uphill, followed by a long smooth downhill section with some rocks and roots, but nothing too technical. The final section of the trail before reaching the E trail is on a wide gravelled path, shared with hikers.
