El camino sigue la antigua acequia en su primera mitad, que es bastante llana y muy abierta. Una vez en el bosque, otro sendero mucho más rápido y divertido, y con algo más de dificultad, desciende hasta la antigua mina, donde hay que continuar por una pista para enseguida tomar otro corto sendero que nos llevará al casco antiguo de Cerler.

Desde la Cabaña de Ardonés es necesario seguir las indicaciones de la Ruta 13 La Mina, sitio donde pueden llegar los remontes o bien remontar hasta los llanos de Paluenga y luego ascender por el camino de Ardonés que sube desde los mismos llanos y pasa por encima de las cascadas y enganchar con el principio de la acequia de la Ruta13 La Mina. La acequia se encuentra justo encima del camino de Ardonés, hay que estar atento para encontrar el rótulo que marca su entrada.

Ojo justo en el final, porque hay un pequeño cresteo que en mojado puede dar problemas. Parece haber otra variante más fácil por la derecha por el barranquillo
