Origin of the name: The name 'Trail du Buck'' comes from the fact that while the trail was being built in October 2014, it was quite often damaged by moose (Burk) tracks in the overnight. Hence the name (The buck trail).

The Trail du Buck is rated moderate (blue square), not so much because of obstacles or difficult climbs / descents along the way, but more so because it gradually climbs for the first kilometer or so, with some tight turns. If you go at your own speed, you will very likely be able to ride this trail whatever your level. Therefore, the Trail du Buck leans more towards an easy than a moderate trail.

As stated above, the first part of the trail gradually climbs, sometimes just next to the river, with some boardwalks on the way. Afterwards, the descent starts gently, with several berms and a few rocky sections, but nothing too difficult (and always with an alternative lane).

The Trail du Buck is located entirely in a mixed forest, and allows to reach the Serpentine (3) or the Chauffe-Moteur (1) trails.

Great Intermediate single track. Steady, even, climbs and decents. Occasional bolders or drops, but always with an easy way around. Good gravel/dirt surface with scattered rocks. Very few roots.
