Lair of the Bear is a primarily downhill XC/AM trail that was built as an extension to Whoopsie Woodle and Irish Death, and will drop riders down to the rock wall ride at the end of Atomic Dog. The trail starts with some classic Galbraith XC turns, then drops into the Chuckanut Creek ravine. The ravine section of the trail has a few short but steep (for Galbraith) downhill corners and some narrow benching with a bit of exposure to the right. The trail crosses a nice bridge over the creek which typically has water flowing most of the year for those riding with trail dogs. After crossing the bridge riders will enter the more open and undulating section of XC riding with another small rocked creek crossing near the bottom.

Great work on this new trail. An excellent option for descending after Whoopsie Woodle.
