This is one of the best additions in the Ridge to Rivers network. While none of the trails in R2R’s system are designated as directional, there should be some starting with Landslide.
This trail should most definitely be ridden counterclockwise. The climb up Red Tail is relatively steady with a few steeper sections, but the descent down Landslide is so worth it!
To ride this trail clockwise is to do a disservice to the trail. Besides, Red Tail is an uninspiring downhill.
Again, while it is well within anyone’s rights to ride this trail in either direction, do yourself (and everyone) an favor- ride it counterclockwise!
