Mix of fire road and single track across the Las Trampas ridge. Really a mix of all the common east bay trail elements, exposed rocky with wooded and loamy. Fun technical sections, punchy climbs, wide open downhills and some good single track flow. Great views from top from seeing SF and Mount Tam on a clear day to the west, San Pablo Bay to the north and Mount Diablo to the east.

Best to ride from North to South. Best to go early in the morning on weekends to avoid hikers and horses.

Those portions of the trail that are single track are not legal. The Fire Road stuff is...sad state of affairs in EBRPD. Cows have better access and more rights than we do.

Single track sections are not the right kind of bumpy. No natural jumps anywhere. Overgrown.
Many stop and go sections since this area is more for hikers and cows.
