------------------------English ---------------------------

Origin of the name : This trail's name comes from the fact that it climbs gradually on its entire length, and that it is the first trail of the trail system of Parc regional du Massif du Sud. The gradual climb allows to ''warm up the engine'', hence the name Chauffe Moteur (block heater), before heading to the next, more difficult trails.

the Chauffe-moteur is the acces trail to the rest of the trail system of Parc regional du Massif du Sud. It was the first trail to be designed at this park during Fall 2014 (built with a mini-excavator). This trail was a bit modified during the summer of 2017 and its starting point is now at the Trois-Fourches parking lot (camper parking).

As stated above, the Chauffe-moteur begins at the Trois-Fourches parking lot, located 400m away from the main parking lot (where you have to park your car). This trail is wide and gravelled, and there are very few obstacles on the way. The only difficulty is that it is a two-way trail, and thus it is necessary to be careful when coming down for bikers coming the other way. This trail can easily be done by bikes of all levels, even young kids.

The Chauffe-moteur trail is located entirely in a mixed forest, with a majority of deciduous trees. It leads to the following trails: L'Erabliere (6) and La Trail du Buck (2).
