Cross Bear Creek on an abandoned road bridge. Walk along the closed portion of Forest Service Road 57 for several miles, crossing Lennox Creek and turning right the first spur, Forest Service Road 57210. Follow the spur road until it turns into trail and enters the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
