Lester Trail is one of the main entry points into Sage Hills and therefore one of the most popular. There is no parking directly at the trailhead, rather 1/3 mile downhill at the gravel pullout on the corner of Sage Hills Dr. and Number One Canyon. Please park in the pullout or on a curbed street nearby as the neighbors will call the sheriff for cars blocking parts of the road.

Lester Trail is private property and has its own set of rules posted at each end, one of which includes no riding at nighttime, which is different from the rest of Sage Hills. Please respect the landowners by parking in the right area and obeying the trail rules. Dogs should be leashed as well.

The trail was recently rerouted and now starts with eight switchbacks which are not steep but could be challenging for a beginner rider. After that the trail trends slightly downhill before meeting the trail to the Day Drive entrance and Sage Hills proper.
