The most technically progressive trail in the Omaha area, located over the river in the bluffs of Iowa. The trail is well kept groomed singletrack, with punchy climbs and some rowdy descents with natural berms , logs, roots, and a few rock shelves.

There are some advanced features hidden as well for more gravity oriented riders with steep chutes, gaps, and wood features.

Excellent trail. Lots of features—drops, jumps, and skinny’s—along with plenty of challenging climbs and techy descents. Black diamond rating is definitely true in some spots.

This place is AWESOME! Some (most) of the features were over my head, but even the actual trail riding is SO good. Don't ride if it's wet. If you happen to be passing through on a long road trip DEFINITELY stop over here and get a ride in. It's a bit of a maze with some random shortcuts and turnoff but it's all worth exploring.

       Definitely one direction.

The trailhead is at the entrance to the park on the south side behind the sign. The downhill sections are FAST. The uphill sections are steep. The features are big. Barrel of Monkeys is a legit 6-7 foot drop depending on how far you send it.

There are a ton of session loops being added, but if you follow the Main Trail signs that will give you the natural loop.

Look for the locals hanging at the top of Barrel of Monkeys or at the top of PB&J. they'll give you the lay of the land and a tow in.

Internet celebrity BKXC came through a few weeks ago. Check out his 50 states Iowa video. It does a nice job showing the trail.

Be careful here. This is a renowned shoulder/collar bone/arm/rib buster. The features are up to the black rating. But also note that big features have bailouts, or are alternate lines.

Decided to hit this trail on my way from Detroit to Denver after seeing BKXC’s video. I’ve been fortunate enough to ride all over Michigan including Marquette and Copper Harbor, as well as Brown County, Indiana. This trail is awesome! A new favorite really. Great corners, tons of features, some high speeds, and just a ton of fun packed in to a small bit of land. Signage is a little rough but it mostly makes sense. Will definitely be back.

I bet this is the best trail in a couple hundred miles. Lots of elevation (short up/downs) in just 5 miles. A nice amount of drops and and some intermediate downhill sections and and jumps. Very fun, the dirt is great and it drains well after rains. Also well taken care of.
