At this time Longview is an out-and-back. In the uphill direction, the lower section is moderately strenuous while paralleling a narrow canyon. After a series of switchbacks, the trail climbs out of the canyon and crosses a dirt road. The grade mellows out a bit and the trail continues, winding though the sagebrush. In its current configuration, the trail terminates at the intersection of a second dirt road. Ridden downhill, the trail is fun, flowy, and is fairly fast. When back in the canyon, there are a couple of corners with limited sight distance, slow down and be prepared to yield to uphill traffic. An extension to the Longview trail is currently being planned.
