Trail 37 has some steep technical climbs with fast steep descents. This is a great way to get to 40 - Clark Spring trail for some very fun downhill into granite Basin.

Hiked to trail #40, then trial 40 about 1 mike and returned. Very nice hike, start is a gradual climb but exhausting.
      Saw and heard coyotes.

Terrible log water bars. You end up pushing your bike more than you would like

Have you ridden trail 48, Aspen Creek? Its part of the Whiskey Off Road race course. Tons of telephone pole water bars going up and down hill.

After you summit don’t be tempted to ride down the other side... it suxed. Tight off camber granite with large rain gullies and prickly over grown bushes that scratch the f@&Wink out of your legs. If you make it down it’s a long hike a bike back up.

Erosion had taken a toll on this unsustainable, seldom-ridden, overgrown trail. An intermediate ride can ride most if the downhill sections, but few can ride the ups on the way back. I suspect most riders would exit down Clark Springs Trail into Granite Basin but that requires a shuttle or a long road ride to get back to the trailhead. Since we were going to Big Juniper of GMHS fame, we opted to ride county road 10 back to our car.
