This description is traveling south from the trailhead.

Start at the well marked trailhead on Blue Grass Hollow Road. The trail climbs steeply at first but then mellows along the ridge before some extremely steep sections and rock gardens at the top. A short smooth descent takes you into a parking lot and cabin at the junction with Brushy Ridge Trail and Delafield Road Connector. The original route dropped steeply straight down avoiding the cabin area, but this seems unused.
