Straight down, granny gear up, but rideable. Not great.

Not granny gear up, instead is a hike a bike. Not long HAB, 15-20 minutes, but still a pain. Better to take Dog to Desolation. For downhill would be boring straight down. Not challenge or flow.

Agree with hike a bike going up. 20% gradient or more, not to mention water bars across the trail.

Easier to simply take Big Water up to Dog Lake.... Little Water is a total slog up!

Wouldn’t say it’s boring going down at all, you can get speed so easy to send the water bars haha

Currently has a bad rut down it from the heavy rain on 8/8/19.
