Little West Virginia is a difficult offshoot of the Tall Oaks Trail in the Morgan Trail System. This short, intense section dives in and out of a series of ravines before taking the rider through a series of uphill and steeply downhill rock gardens. Trail features include large log-overs, rocks, short jumps and drops, teeter-totters, several skinnies of varying consequence and some really rooty, challenging climbs. If you have the skill, it's tremendous fun. If not, it's a nice walk in the woods.

Access Info

Enter LWV from the Tall Oaks Trail in the Morgan Trail System. Riders with an annual pass to the Park can park in the Horner Forest Road parking lot off Qualla Road and then ride in through the bidirectional Quall Road Connector Trail before joining the Tall Oaks. Riders coming in from the main gate, should park near the Heritage Center / Nature Center / Amphitheater and then follow Crosstik Forest Trail to the Morgan System Trailhead where you can jump on the Tall Oaks.

This trail is nowhere near a double black diamond, not as of 7/2016. It would barely be considered blue.

Antikid: The trail is considered "expert" level in relation to other nearby trails and in PSP. Expert level and double black diamond is somewhat subjective and dependent on the user base of the trails. Our trail systems at PSP will frequently see new riders and this trail would be experienced as a very tough trail for beginners.
