The first stage of the LM2M trail. This section winds its way above the Lake Mountain Road, encompassing Arnold's Gap and Snowy Hill. This trail has 3 main climbs and 3 descent, each different in style, environment and speed. The First section is rocky Granite rock lined trails, are both challenging and fun to descent. From Arnold's Gap down to the Snowy Hill car park is fast and loose. Your beneath the tree in on this one in some stunning alpine bush. Watch out for downed Mountain Ash! In the last section your back in the typical Aussie bush. String barks and large alpine ash! You can cut this trail as short as you like, with exits at Snowy Hill and Arnold's gap car parks. Ride back up the road from the ticket box or shuttle back.
