Loam Ranger lives up to its name as it drops, literally, down through the exotic forest through a number of switchbacks, dropping corners and fast paced descents. With easy access and just being soooo damn good, will see you back around to do it all again. New trail grade in 2021

Access Info

From the Sharlands carpark, head along Sharlands Road towards the range before turning right up Central Road, past the forestry gate to the 4km marker. Trail start is approximately 10m along Maitai Face Road.

You need a Tasman Pine Forest Access permit to ride this trail. Temporary permits or annual permits (membership) can be purchased from the Nelson Mountain Bike Club (www.nelsonmtb.club)
