Start is at the 2800 FSR (Gaspard-Churn) bridge over Lone Valley Creek. Directions to the bridge from HWY 97: north of Clinton, turn west onto Meadow Lake Road (zero odometer), at 44 km's stay right at Poison Lk Rd, at 77 km stay left at the junction to Dog Creek, at 86 km turn left onto Gang Ranch Road, at 110 km turn left onto the 2800 Rd, at 163 km arrive at the bridge. Can also be accessed from the Mud Lake side, although cut blocks have interrupted short pieces of the trail (ride arounds in place). The pristine nature of this trail has eroded over the years, with ATV's pushing further along it, and the construction of the 2800 Rd and bridge over Lone Creek. Still, it is a pleasant ride, and the gentle flow and pastoral feel of the trail is welcomed change from the work normally involved travelling in the region.

tons of windfall down on upper part of Mud Lake access route. Looks like Paul Bunyan and Babe found the nice trees. Nuked.
