Land Owner
One of the area's best singletrack trails with a few ride options from a longer out and back, shuttle, or a lap or two on the upper sections for a quick fix. The trail is in somewhat sandy substrate so running a lower tire pressure is nice but its super easy to pinch flat in the rocks. The lower "gorge" section is a "Intermediate/Difficult" rocky commitment so plan accordingly.

Upper two section offer a fast and flowy ride. Really beautiful in the fall. Please ride up the road and descend the trail. There are many blind corners and with the speed acheived on sections of this trail I've had several close call head on collisions with uphill traffic.

although this IS open to hikers, which there are indeed lots of on this beautiful trail, and you should certainly NOT be going full gas on the downhill with this in mind

The upper section is National Forest, hence closed until further notice. The Lower section is BLM. Thank you for respecting the NF closure. It sucks but it’s what’s best for our current situation.

Is Lower Rock Creek included in the current Forest Closure or is it open?

Top section is fun and flowy with some techy sections. Bottom is trash with numerous hike a bike sections and a lot of black to double black features. Sure you can walk them to keep it a “blue” trail but you can say that about any double black. Skip the bottom and enjoy the top.

Super fun, easy flow to some technical sections that were above my intermediate level. Nothing scary just tricky AF esp with high creek flow washing out a few small sections. Def can test your builder hopping single track skills. Highly recommend!

Super flowy up top with a choppy bottom half. Super fun you can be on the pedals almost the entire way and pick up speed. Super challenging to see if you can maintain speed while going down some of the most technical Trail. This Trail is about as fast as you want to pedal.

A tight technical trail that is a constant climb. There is a lot of loose rock and the trail is next to a creek with fast moving water. The water is ice cold so it makes for a good break to cool off in the water. Lots of weed over growth and lots of thorny plants. My legs were quite scratched up.
