Beautiful old-school trail that follows the creek for approximately 5 miles before it climbs out of the drainage. Total length of this section is approximately 7 miles. The first 5 miles is a mix of uphill and downhill. The last two miles climbs consistently up to Lone Tree Pass, which is where the Jedi trail starts (the Jedi is officially part of Taylor Creek) The trail surface is a mix of smooth and minor rocky sections with a few roots. Be careful riding the bridges in winter because some of them can be SLICK. Some people like to shuttle the top 3 miles of this section, as it has a few small drops.
