Either as an access into the Park, or an exit, this trail works you both ways. Definitely less traveled, so expect blowdown and still be ready to give way to other trail users.

       Spruce Creek to Fortress Ridge climb intersection:
      There is a big loose climb up from Tyaughton Creek to the high trail elevation; in wet conditions it might be impossible unless you had crampons.
      There are some eroded sections with serious exposure, a fall here would likely be fatal as you would stop at the creek hundreds of meters below.
