Mad Cow Details
Mad Cow is an alternative to Swine Flu. A lot of people looking to do a couple of Swine Flu loops will do one climb on the Swine Flu climb, and then the next one on this trail. Also a good loop is to climb this trail, turn left at the pig and ride over to Far Side and down. Otherwise stay on it to connect across from the Swine Flu up to the Swine Flu down, missing out the upper sections. It is a rolling up and down trail, well built, with steepish ups and downs on the section that goes between the two Swines.
Once you get to Swine, you can keep going straight for a different down. Less bermy, but still great fun and it reconnects in two places back onto Swine.
Look out for this turning at the main Swine Flu junction where you take a sharp left at a cow lick. This trail is straight ahead and there is a sign on a stump (Mad Cow TLC). A much less-travelled but just as good climb to the upper sections of Swine Flu. It kicks you out on the Swine Flu climb at the pig.
