Not recommended for beginners or anyone who rides beyond their skills! Emma Long Motocross Park or City Park is known and feared throughout the Austin motorcycling and mountain biking community. If you like technical, this is your trail. Originally developed as motorcycle trails in the 1970’s for trail and trial skills riding. The trail consists of numerous limestone ledges either as short, not too steep, technical climbs or descents. Some descents are very technical with one to two foot ledges sometimes in short succession. Weaving around a cedar strewn hillside, the main loop is about 5 miles and is mostly shaded throughout. The trail dries quickly with the exception of some looser corners where the moto guys think it's necessary to gas it out of the turn leaving a nice sized rut that fills up with water and thus widens the trail by others trying to avoid the mud hole. Best trail in the Austin area and if you time it right - just before sun rise or sun set - the trail is all yours!

The main loop in one direction (counterclockwise) from the trail head/parking lot. It is an active motocross park, so bikes must always yield to motorcycles, however, they are easy to hear coming so you can get out of the way.

the epitome of austin riding. This trail will put the hurt on any rider. Best place to ride when it's wet.
