Nice section, probably the best way to connect up to Backslide from The Cove trailhead. New switchback at the bottom cuts out the old rutted section. This is trail is broken into 2 parts for condition reporting, as this southern part of the trail tends to retain water a bit more and doesn't dry as fast as the north one.
