The trail starts out from Shoalwater Bay TH with a nice shady ride along the lake. There are a couple gates present as the trail crosses a fence line onto a different plot of land. The trail crosses Eagle Ridge Ridge Rd about a mile in. The trail is up and down for another mile. The last two miles climb consistently for about 500 feet vertically, ending at Spence Rd where the trail turns into a Intermediate Difficulty trail.
