This is rough gravel. Do NOT use a thin tire bike. Need hybrid with decent tires or mountain bike. The Hialeah start to the 2nd park headquarters stop is hilly and the average rider would be challenged unless on an electric bike (highly recommended to really enjoy the trail and go a long distance). Trail is very nice and beautiful. If not a strong rider start at the National Park headquarters stop. This is not a easy cinder mix trail surface.
