The route follows the creek for 1.75 miles with less than 15% grade. When leaving the creek the grade becomes steep, over 20% grade up to a saddle. Then the trail is more obscure and goes East down to another saddle where the trail disapears. Simply climb up on the ridge going northeast. Follow the ridge until it dips onto another saddle where there is an intersection with the Buckskin Trail. For a good loop back to your vehicle simply descend and follow the Buckskin trail back to McNabb Creek. Or, if you want to visit Buckskin Meadows take at right at the intersection (Refer to Map of Buckskin Trail).
