Difficult to imagine some could make this through. Even after weeks of dry sunny weather in spring 2020, the sections I ve ridden (tak-me-Doon to tomtain and Birkenburn Reservoir via Blackhill to Carron Valley Forest Road near Meikle Bin) were pretty wet. Most of the time, even hikers will find it quite boggy and muddy (Tomtain via Garrel Hill to Garrel Burn and Birken Burn confluence/dam). Have hiked more sections than cycled, and only cycle when conditions are relatively dry and on EMTB.

Unfortunately quite unridable. Attempted to do something novel around Carron Valley, but got stuck between Gareth Hill & Tomtain. It's not the wetness (knees deep) that stopped me, but there's not discernible trail after that it seems (plus. Such a shame as it would be epic to connect.
The high light was an option - you can descend from Tomtain to CV, all the way down to Eas Dubh, then do those trails. The descent from Tomtain is not bad at all.

I know exactly where you got stuck. The trail runs out into the deepest patch of bog I have ever seen... the Trick here is to jump the fence to the left just before you get there and continue along that side of it for the rest. The trail is noticeable later on again when the dry wall is intact a little further up Garrel Hill and you continue on its Southern side.
