Fun quick trail, starts with a moderate climb up the Wellsville Wilderness access trail. About a quarter mile up take the left fork and heads side-hill across the mountain in a beautiful grove of maples with ivy hanging about and pockets of thick ferns. At 0.4 miles is another fork, generally stay to the right to ride the loop counter-clockwise, but may be ridden either way. You'll wind down through an exposed sagebrush hill before heading back up to the trees. Trail below the sage-brush ridge hasn't been cut yet and is still rough in spots.

Dry and fast. No issues to report!

Aside from a couple greasy sections on the stem of the lollipop the trail is free and clear of mud.

It's rideable by fat bike but needs more traffic. It's narrow and bumpy since the only traffic it's seen is people with snow shoes.

Trail is completely finished. It's a bit rough in spots through the open sagebrush sections, but it's easy to follow and fun.

Generally dry/damp. Responsible riding dictated maybe three hike-a-bikes to avoid mud/snow damage to trail. Otherwise just typical early season riding.

Has anyone seen the no bikes sign? Are we aloud to ride here or is it wilderness?

It looks like one edge on the south end just barely clips the Wellville Mountain Wilderness. The remainder of the trail is on National Forest.

It is wilderness and no bikes.

There are 3 forks to get to the trail. Stay to the left at the first 2 and the 3rd is the loop so stay right. The wilderness area is a small section at the top and it’s cleary marked. There is a new section of the loop that’s marked with ribbon on trees and it keeps you out of the restricted area.
