SW Ridge starts and ends on old jeep roads - about 1 mile at the start and 2 back to your truck. Singletrack is roughly 6 miles and most ride it counter clockwise.

The approach and the first mile and a half of singletrack is a challenging climb, for those that like a good climb, it's appreciable. But from that point on, prepare to become addicted, as this trail is hard to stay away from.

There are many drops/steps from 8" to around 4' both up and down and most have 2 to 3 in close succession. Some of the largest have ride arounds... if you're into that sort of thing.

Exposure, yeah, we have that too Just don't look down. #1 rule in MTBing: Look where you want to go. The riding is mostly manageable along the edge for an experienced rider, heck you have several inches to play with after-all...

The 4 mile mark seems to be a gathering point for fixing flats, mostly snake bites. It's wise to bring tubes and refresh your Stan's for this trail, or you may enjoy a refreshing hike.

Following rubber repair 101 the riding is mostly smooth and flowy with a series of small, fun rock drops/hops. Heck, even the jeep track at the end isn't at all so bad.

When you get back to your truck, shake it off and refresh with a cool beverage from the cooler and a sandwich, then go do it again

Burly climb. If you have the legs and skill, it's a good challenge. Scenic along the ridge. An easier climb is Good Call.

The climb is a moderately technical challenge with exposure. Very fun and remains challenging after many rides. The descent on either Menny thanks or bipolar are both stellar. Bipolar has a ton of fun sized drops. Menny thanks is slightly more pedaly, a bit longer and more technical but still super fun. If the climb up Ike’s Exposure or ‘legalize it’ sketches you out then you can take the bail out ride down Good Call.

The views of vegas , fun at the top with legalize it and the downhill more than make up for the climb - which wasn’t as bad as I’d expected. ( way better than cowboy trail climbs) Really well built trail. Cudos to the builders !!
