The terrain along Cathole Mountain, the smallest of the Hanging Hills, includes steep, rugged climbs over loose rock and forested sections. The 1937 Walk Book mentions that one bluff was notable for resembling George Washington in profile, but like the Old Man in the Mountain, time has taken it's toll. A cold water spring and ice cave was also mentioned where ice would remain well into the summer. These may have been lost to time and development.
