Grand Staircase-Escalante NM

This route is commonly used to climb out of the middle of the Escalante River Gorge, usually for those who have hiked down Death Hollow, or technical canyoneers who have descended neighboring Micro Death Hollow. This trail offers great views of that canyon and the Escalante Gorge. The trail is clear in some places, but other portions are slickrock scrambles that may or may not be marked by cairns.
